A bit about me…
Thanks for checking out my site! As you probably gathered from the URL, my name is James Willett and I am Software Developer / Tester currently working for the awesome people at Concur. I have almost a decade of experience in Software across a broad range of industries, mostly based in the UK but also with work in Singapore, Thailand, Brazil and the US.
I originally started this blog back in 2013 as nothing more than a bit of fun and side project, not really expecting it to go anywhere… Fast forward a few years and the site has steadily been gaining popularity and visitors as I publish blog posts on my experiences. The core aim of this site and my blog posts is to try and make the content accessible to all levels of technical proficiency, and to try and debunk the myth that “technical” is a scary word. Learning something new (be it technical or not) is only hard at first when you don’t understand it, then it becomes easy. My goal is to make learning something new in technical software testing as easy as possible.

Some nice things people said about me…
I had pleasure working with James at Irwin Mitchell on a performance testing project. He is a dedicated, results driven, very experienced and knowledgable consultant. He has excellent skills on LoadRunner and performance testing domain. He is very helpful in nature and always ready to go extra mile to deliver things on timeRajni Singh
James and I worked together over the course of four years, at T-Mobile, and I have to say that James is extremely driven towards delivering high quality results on a consistent basis and is someone you can rely on to see a task through to completion. He has an eye for detail and takes pride in his work. James is one of the very few people I have met who is both technically strong and commercially aware. He was great fun to work with; I would be delighted to have the opportunity to work with him again in the future!Nat De Silva
James has been working in the performance & load testing team since joining as a graduate. He has a strong sense of his own personal development and has taken several online courses specific to his role to acquire more technical skills. He is constantly seeking to improve not only the processes but his own abilities in his area of expertise while sharing his knowledge with others. He has a great ability to analyse design documentation, set-up the tools, load scripts, environments and reporting to complete the projects given to him in time and successfullyKenneth Lagerwall
